EarthCam (http://www.earthcam.com/), a network of live webcams and a search engine of internet cameras domestic and international, will transmit the annual New Year’s Eve Times Square celebration live from New York City for the 12th consecutive year and welcome in 2008 with cameras around the world.

Visitors to http://newyears.earthcam.com/ can access streaming video with audio, multiple webcams strategically located all around Times Square, and a moblog for users with cell phone cameras to post their New Year’s themed pictures.

Anyone with a webcam will be able to join in the fun by broadcasting their very own New Year’s Eve party directly on My EarthCam’s MyCam Page section of the website.

Sprint customers will have exclusive access to the event webcast on their mobile devices.

EarthCam will also be present in the heart of Times Square at the information center located at 47th Street and 7th Avenue with 4 streaming video Internet postcard kiosks presented by Panasonic and photo Internet postcard kiosk presented by Yahoo!. These kiosks allow users to digitally capture their video and pictures, and email New Year’s greetings to friends around the world instantly from Times Square.
