Don’t tell but, Mobile Marketer found out today that ABC News is the first major media company to officially launch Medio System’s Medio Mobile Search for Publishers, an advertising-supported search solution built and optimized for the mobile experience.

For some reason ABC would not agree to release this information, but our strong ties to the mobile marketing community and a little birdie, made sure we found out.

Medio Mobile Search lets handset users search and navigate content on the ABC News mobile site (m.abcnews.com) and gives them access to breaking news, in-depth features and photos.

So what does this mean for mobile marketers?

Relevant sponsored advertising will appear next to the search results generating new revenue for ABC News! 

Through Medio network, marketers can reach and target audiences across all of Medio’s partner sites (including ABC News mobile site).
